Our Mission

Our History

To meet employers' needs for competent workers by providing access to individuals age 40 and over, and to enhance lifelong employment opportunities of experienced workers through training, job placement, education, research and advocacy.

Launched with the help of AARP, in September 1997, NOWCC began operations with a unique mission that focused solely on promotion of an age-diverse workforce through expansion of employment and training opportunities in government agencies.

NOWCC's experienced staff continues to provide effective and efficient employment services for skilled mid-career and older workers for environmental project assignments.
