Superfund Program Administrative/Technical Support

Qualifications:

AA Degree in Communications, Library Science, Public Relations, Law or related fields. OR Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in Administrative field, office managemnt.

  • Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills, cooperative work relations and computer
  • literate, with Internet, word processing, and spread sheet experience.
  • Experience required with Typewriter, Facsimile, Copying Machine, Multiple Phone Lines, MS Word, MS Excel, Lotus 123, MS Access
  • Lotus Notes
Duties:

Individual will provide technical and administrative support to the Superfund Program.

  • Manage, update and use computerized subject/information retrieval system, respond to routine and unique inquiries/requests received from the public, industry, EPA staff, managers and other governmental agencies. Provide quality information that is appropriate and responsive. Maintain Freedom of Information Act Database - input requests, tracking of responses and ensure timely identification of issues. Organize Section's monthly reports (PATS) and distribution to various internal offices. Maintain office travel and leave database and bi-weekly schedule to ensure information is timely and accurate. Distribute mail and logging of Federal Express packages. Receives and distributes packages from Enforcement Contractor (currently SAIC). Maintains common supply area. Assists with Associate Director and other Section needs within organization, as requested.    75%
  • Provide general administrative support for the Division    10%
  • Schedule conferences, meetings and reserve conference rooms.    5%
  • Manage correspondence and other written materials    5%
  • Serves as division receptionist answering phones & responding to inquiries    5%
