Qualifications:

BA/BS Degree in Business, Administration, Environmental Sciences, Education, or related field OR Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience in work related to identifying target audiences for educational, informational, or promotional activities and developing and delivering outreach, promotional, or educational information through workshops, seminars, other settings

  • Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills required. Must capable of managing multiple priorities, working with a team and coordinating complex activities.
  • Experience required with Windows, Facsimile, Copying Machine, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access
  • May be trained on separate federal database
Duties:

Enrollee will provide technical support and assistance to the Region 7 Lead-Based Paint Program staff. This will include projects that require independent judgement based upon knowledge and experience.

  • Provide support to the Lead-Based Paint Program by conducting outreach, education, and compliance assistance activities. These activities may include developing contact lists, providing presentations and responding to phone inquiries from the public and regulated community, as well as developing and/or implementing innovative activities to promote awareness of lead hazards and regulations, etc.    30%
  • Review Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP)Training Provider Applications for consistency with national guidelines. Provide written feedback on applications. Conduct site visits to individual regulated entities to conduct audits and provide compliance on EPA regulations governing lead-based paint.    30%
  • Support lead program staff in targeting facilities for potential compliance assistance and/or inspections related to lead-based paint regulations.    20%
  • Track and manage the Lead-Based Paint Program's outreach and compliance assistance materials. Coordinate with other Divisions and programs requesting copies of these materials.    10%
  • Input data and prepare and mail certifications to individuals and firms in accordance with lead-based paint regulations.    10%

  • Access to a privately owned vehicle: To attend meetings and conferences
  • Overnight travel: 2 to 5 days per month
  • Rental cars: 2 to 5 days per month
