Program Assistant

Qualifications:

BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Public Admininstration, Contract Administration OR Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience in public administration, database management

  • Position requires technical skills sufficient to review, analyze and interpret technical reports/deliverables and provide succinct summaries. Experience working in environmental programs is preferrable. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
  • Experience required with Windows, Facsimile, Copying Machine, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, Dbase III/IV
Duties:

Provides professional support to the Storage Tank and Oil Pollution Branch, primarily for activities related to both the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and Indian Country. Duty station will be in Kansas City, Kansas. The person selected for this position will be responsible for the following: 1) database management, including updating/entering data and generating reports, 2) provide technical/administrative support to grants management, including performance measure reporting, tracking progress, reviewing deliverables, filing management, and developing technical grant summaries. The person selected will be expected to work independently or in coordination with other professional staff in the analysis and inprepretation of technical and/orscientific information. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel, along with database experience is rerquired.
