Program Support Assistant

Qualifications:

BA/BS Degree in Business, Science, Management Information OR Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience in commercial real estate, property development, and/or environmental site assessment and cleanup.

  • working knowledge of GIS database, including updating KML files; content management of website; web design; strong writing skills; working knowledge of ASTM E1527-05 Phase I requirements; event and meeting planning; project management skills
  • Experience required with Windows, Facsimile, Copying Machine, MS Word, MS Excel

Duties:

Serves as an assistant Brownfields, Land Revitalization, and Superfund Reuse specialist, promoting these programs to external stakeholders. Develops Power Point presentations, writes success stories and other material to be used in outreach activities. Develops and maintains database to track Superfund sites. Performs a wide range of administrative tasks associated with data gathering and project coordination.

  • Outreach to internal and external stakeholders, including lenders, local governments, economic departments, developers, real estate brokers, etc., through presentations, Geographical Information Systemes (GIS) data and web content management, and writing and publishing success stories    25%
  • Database development, implementation and tracking (including data gathering and analysis)    25%

  • Coordination of special projects, meetings and events    20%
  • Administrative tasks, including typing, filing and other duties as assigned    5%

Other:
  • Enrollee will be provided proper training in accordance with EPA and the different state requirements in health and safety as needed. Enrollee will be sent to training taught by an EPA contractor on and off-site
  • Overnight travel: two times per month
  • Air travel anticipated: one trip per quarter
