CIGNA Health Insurance

When an enrollee's authorized hours are sixty (60) or more each pay period, the enrollee is eligible for the NOWCC SEE Program Group Health Insurance Plan. There is no cost to the enrollee for this coverage. Each NOWCC SEE Program Field Coordinator will provide information about the plan's options.

After enrolling, CIGNA will send you an information packet containing your ID card.

CIGNA Dental Insurance

All enrollees are eligible to participate in the CIGNA Dental Care Plan even if not currently enrolled in the CIGNA Health Care Plan. This benefit, available at a low cost through payroll deduction, offers you and your family the opportunity to have affordable dental care. There are no claim forms, no deductibles, no annual dollar maximums and no charges for most preventative services.

A primary dentist must be selected when you elect this coverage.

You may enroll in the dental plan at any time. Premiums are paid one month in advance and are deducted from the first paycheck of each month.

Your NOWCC SEE Program Field Coordinator can provide you with information about the CIGNA Dental Care Plan. After enrolling, CIGNA will send you an information packet containing your ID card.

COBRA

The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) provides you and your dependent(s) the right to continue group health and dental care benefits when you become ineligible (i.e., termination or hours reduced to less than 60 per pay period) for coverage under the NOWCC SEE Program's group health and dental plans.

The NOWCC SEE Program will send you a packet containing information on how to elect continuation of coverage and the costs involved. You should receive this within fourteen (14) days after your date of ineligibility. If you do not, notify your NOWCC SEE Program Field Coordinator.

Enrollee Assistance Program

Enrollees, family, and household members can receive confidential counseling and information for all types of issues and problems such as those relating to personal relationships, family care, workplace situations, or legal questions. A toll-free number provides access to trained specialists 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and also provides referral and follow-up services.

Counseling on any one issue is free for up to three sessions by phone or face-to-face consultations. After that, you pay for any continuation of services unless you are covered by CIGNA Health Insurance.

For legal concerns, you have 30 minutes of free time with an attorney. After that, discount rates are provided by CIGNA.

Please contact your NOWCC SEE Program Field Coordinator with any questions.
