NOWCC Awarded National Grant to Increase Job Training for Older Americans Arlington, Va. (October 25, 2016) – The National Older Worker Career Center (NOWCC) was awarded a multiyear grant from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) to provide job training and employment services through the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). ACES Program at the Natural Resources Conservation Services under USDA was authorized by Congress with the passage of the 2008 Farm Bill (PL 110-234).

SEE Program at the Environmental Protection Agency was established by Congress in 1984 with the passage of the Environmental Programs Assistance Act of 1984 (PL 98-313).

SCSEP Program is a community service and work-based job training program authorized by the Older Americans Act for low-income, unemployed older Americans .

The FS ACES Program at the U.S. Forest Service under USDA was authorized by Congress with the passage of the 2014 Farm Bill (PL 113-079).

Barbara Ewell, Washington, DC. SEE Enrollee Barbara Ewell, is a SEE enrollee of NOWCC for EPA, Headquarters in Washington, DC.
