Welcome New Staff Member, Tim Forbert

Tim joins our team as an ACES Recruiter in our Western Field Office in Lakewood, CO. He brings to our team 15+ years of full cycle recruiting. Tim Forbert joined NOWCC in July as an ACES Recruiter supporting the Western Field Office. He is a Senior Recruiter and Human Resources Professional with over 15+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience supporting corporations, Dept of Defense, and state and local government agencies. Tim completed a Certificate Program in Human Resources Studies from Cornell University and attended De Anza College in Cupertino, California where he majored in Business and Computer Science. He is passionate about always providing exceptional customer service to stakeholders and passionate about the people side of recruiting. Tim takes pride in representing NOWCC and making a difference providing job opportunities for experienced workers. Anna has joined NOWCC as a Payroll Specialist. She brings over 25+ years of Human Resources and Payroll experience. She will be a great addition to the Payroll Team and NOWCC. Welcome, Anna!  She was previously employed at The National League of Cities as the Director, Talent Management for eleven years.  In addition, Anna worked at Catholic Charities USA as Director of Human Resources where she provided hands on specialized payroll and human resources support. She has a M.S. in Human Resources Development from American University and a B.S. degree in Psychology from Howard University. Anna has certifications as a PHR (Professional Human Resources) and SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional). She enjoys travel and history. Rhyneta joins NOWCC as a Program Management Specialist for our ACES Program Prior to joining NOWCC in 2019, Rhyneta Fleming spent over 21 years working for the University of Maryland, College Park where she held her most recent position as the Director of Administrative Services. Rhyneta’s main duties with NOWCC includes, assisting with all aspects of the NRCS and the Forest Service ACES Program operations and activities.  Rhyneta holds a BS in Accounting and Computer Studies and a MS in Financial Management and Accounting, both obtained at the University of Maryland University College. 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

  NOWCC’s Western Field Office staff in Lakewood, Colorado, participated in a 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. This is an annual event organized by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Participants complete nine laps up, down and around Red Rocks which roughly equals the steps NYC firefighters climbed in the twin towers on 9/11. The WFO staff found the experience incredibly moving. Nancy (Nan) Altman joined the NOWCC team in October 2017 as Director of Accounting.   Prior to joining NOWCC Nan worked for MicroStrategy, Inc. for nearly sixteen years where she led accounting operations for their U.S. and Canadian subsidiaries.  She began her accounting career at Ernst & Young, LLP working in both the audit and tax practices.  Nan holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from George Mason University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
