9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

  NOWCC’s Western Field Office staff in Lakewood, Colorado, participated in a 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. This is an annual event organized by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Participants complete nine laps up, down and around Red Rocks which roughly equals the steps NYC firefighters climbed in the twin towers on 9/11. The WFO staff found the experience incredibly moving.   “One in seven seniors live in poverty.” NOWCC Headquarters staff participated in the AARP Foundation’s Summer of Service Packing Meals for Seniors earlier this month.
