Being Age 55 or Older is Good for The Environment! The Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program offers unique opportunities in Scientific, Technical, and Administrative / Office support for individuals age 55 and over to support the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through a grant administered program through National Older Worker Career Center (NOWCC). This is a unique program where your talents, expertise and experience will truly be valued. You'll be working side-by-side with EPA staff that are doing important work every day. Pay rate: $12.72/hr. This is the maximum amount budgeted through the grant to support this program. Benefits: Paid Health Insurance Premium, Paid Vacation, Paid Sick Time, Paid Federal Holidays + One Individual Holiday, and optional Vision and Dental Insurance available. This position does require a background check prior to onboarding. Due to COVID-19, this position will be 100% remote until instructions are given on when to safely return to the EPA facility.
Incumbent shall assist the On-Scene Coordinator (OSC) in the development of independent government cost estimates (IGCE) by reviewing Statements of Work and related documents for environmental remediation and restoration projects. Uses information provided by OSCs to perform market survey of potential vendors and gather documentation of estimated cost.
Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience in procurement, business, construction project management. OR BA/BS Degree in Strong background in mathematics, construction management or other business and/or physical science related disciplines Previously completed training in cost estimating.
