Program Support

Duties:

Assist Easement Programs Division staff on various easement program implementation activities including training, provide support to States, coordination, tracking, and providing technical expertise related to planning, restoration, monitoring, and stewardship activities.

  • Assist with coordination and tracking of easement restoration agreement. Review and assist in the development of ecological monitoring procedures, policy, and forms. Conduct quality assurance activities on easement monitoring. Travel may be required. 70%
  • Assist supporting States with easement planning tools, program implementation, restoration, and management issues. 10%
  • Provide additional training support for easement program-related needs (e.g. programmatic, system-related, program implementation best practices, etc.). 10%
  • Other tasks as assigned related to easement program implementation. 10%

Qualifications:

MA/MS Degree in in Agriculture, natural resources, agronomy or related field of study OR Minimum of 15 year(s) of experience in in Agriculture, natural resources, agronomy or related

  • Experience with NRCS easement programs including planning, restoration, monitoring, and stewardship activities.
  • Valid State Driver's License
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel
  • PowerPoint

Other:

  • Subject to mandatory USDA Computer Security and Privacy training as mandated by law.
  • Overnight travel: Travel requirements will vary, but on average 1 week per month.
  • Air travel anticipated: Travel requirements will vary, but on average 1 week per month.
  • Rental cars: Travel requirements will vary, but on average 1 week per month.
