Emergency Management Technical Support

ID: SCO-837 Location: Denver, CO Agency: EPA
Wage/Hr: $11.10 Hours/Week: 32 Minimum Age: 55

Duties:

Assist and support EPA Region 8's Emergency Management Branch.

  • Update and maintain customized tracking databases used for reporting progress/accomplishments to headquarters. 35%
  • Provide support for compliance with Regional and National requirements including FOIA requests, FAITAS database, Quality Assurance compliance/audits, etc. 35%
  • Provide administrative contract support such as developing initial technical drafts of documents. 15%
  • Track and coordinate correspondence for the Emergency Management Branch and all memos and letters to be signed by managers. This includes proofreading, formatting, and preparing the routing package for concurrence and signature. Provide clerical and administrative support such as copying, filing, and scheduling meetings and conference rooms. 10%
  • Provide support for travel requests, vouchers, and amendments for the Emergency Management staff. Serve as the in-office advocate with EPA's centralized travel office for Branch travel documents. 5%

Qualifications:

AA Degree in Sciences / Environmental, related fields. OR Minimum of 2 year(s) of experience in Superfund removal and emergency response.

  • Strong computer software skills
  • Experience required with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Fax, Copying Machine, Multiple Phone Lines, Scanner

Other:

  • Training will be provided for program specific nomenclature, software, report generation, document development/management, and other topics peculiar to the Response program.
