Assist park in assessment of their 5-year construction program – priorities, packaging, etc. – and required staffing to support its execution. The objective of quantifying this information is to develop a plan to staff or contract the identified functions to meet the project management goals of the park.
Assessment of parkwide facility project planning program. Review and analyze existing funded, formulated, and planned facility improvement projects in the park Servicewide Comprehensive Plan and Recreation Fee Comprehensive Plan. 33%
Determine specific functions with associated hours (e.g. development of SOWs, contracting documents, project estimates, and project management functions) required to complete facility project projects. 33%
Create a table of alternatives with variety of suggestions to utilize existing personnel and other sources to meet the need of the determined requirements. 33%
Minimum of 20 year(s) of experience in Project management or engineering OR BA/BS Degree in Architecture / Engineering / Project Management
Expertise in construction program management and familiarity with construction project management. General-level knowledge of park management, staffing and operations.
Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point
Knowledge of NPS Systems such PMIS, FMSS, CESS, ETIC, etc.
Overnight travel: Maximum four weeks for orientation kick off meeting, collection of project information data, review of plans including creation of project timing matrix, evaluation of required work functions and hours, mid-point review progress meeting, draft products meeting, final out brief.
Air travel anticipated: Maximum of one round trip over duration of project.
Rental cars: Government vehicles cannot be used for personal travel during the 4 week project time table, so a rental car will be required for the duration of the project.
