Provide advice, guidance, and technical assistance on issues related to carbon science and application to land management decision making.
Provide input and advice on a range of forest carbon quantification methodologies and science delivery to support land management planning and NEPA 35%
Assist with the development of new carbon tools or application of existing tools to support staff and agency priorities and mutual interests with partners 35%
Provide technical assistance with ongoing efforts to quantify carbon stock and fluxes due to natural and anthropogenic disturbances 20%
Provide input and advice on a variety of communication products intended to better inform employees and the public 10%
Minimum of 20 year(s) of experience OR PhD Degree
Demonstrated expertise in forest carbon cycling science.
Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point, Forest Vegetation Simulator (FVS)
Computer safety awareness training
