Qualifications:

MA/MS Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, Toxicology, Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Physical Sciences OR Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in Chemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, Toxicology, Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Physical Sciences

  • Experience required with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Fax, Copying Machine, Scanner

Duties:

Provides high level expert scientific and technical support to senior level experts and subject matter specialist on regulatory developments and programmatic implementation issues involving exiting chemicals.

  • Understands the principles of Systematic Review and assists Division in conducting and/or supporting data gathering and systematic review activities for projects related to the assessment of existing chemicals, including but not limited to providing HERO support to technical experts. Assists Division in the organization of library resources 75%
  • Conducts research and gathers data and materials for special projects initiated by the immediate Office. 15%
  • Reviews key scientific and technical information and provides interpretation/synopses of such information to RAD staff and Managers to support policy and regulatory decision making or oversight of program implementation activities. 10%
