This position is located at the Denver Federal Center. The primary role of this position is to assist and coordinate the processing of all documents for the Office of Criminal Enforcement, Forensics, and Training (OCEFT), Resource Management Staff (RMS). Provides support for all areas for which the RMS has responsibility including budget, finance and procurement.

  • Assist with the processing of OCEFT procurement actions and serve as receiving point; documents all procurements; directs document workflow between 40 + offices; interacts with staff in other EPA offices, including Office of Financial Management (OFM) and Office of Mission Support (OMS) to ensure proper processing of documents. Advises professional and technical staff when emergency actions are submitted to ensure mission needs are accomplished. Independently identifies processing issues/concerns and advises management to prevent crisis situations. Provides analysis and recommendations on process improvements to increase efficiencies. Maintains Resource Management Staff (RMS) Procurement Tracking System in the Excel database. Accountable for accuracy, completeness and reconciliation of all data in the system. Updates and maintains records of all procurements in Adobe Acrobat. Maintains a working knowledge of OCEFT and Agency policies and procedures for procurement document processing and budget execution. Demonstrated proficiently in requirement pertaining to EPA procurement forms, including bankcard requests, procurement requests, RWAs, 1164s, and training requests. Reviews documents for data accuracy, appropriate signatures, justifications and other requirements in compliance with OCEFT and Agency policies. 65%
  • Budget Execution: Performs data entry in the Agency's Compass Financials Managements Systems, applying Federal and Agency financial management accounting principles and standards, as well as using Agency's Compass Data Warehouse (CDW) as a financial management tool. Analyzes, verifies, and reconciles and initiates corrections to accounting transactions. Works with OCEFT administrative specialist to research, correction, update and delete records. Regularly checks databases for open commitments, unliquidated obligations and takes the necessary actions to maintain the integrity of the databases and completeness of OCEFT's accounting records. Assists with the Agency's Annual Review of Unliquidated Obligations (ULO) (reviewing and researching open items and updating the ULO database). 15%
  • Assists the Legal Counsel Division when needed. Orders supplies and tracks legal memos in the Criminal Case Reporting System (CCRS). Maintains the legal memo spreadsheet and updates memos to OneDrive. 5%
  • Provides general support in resource management areas, including records control and file maintenance, correspondence, preparation of documents; document distribution; and office supplies inventory. Prepares purchase requests in the system as needed. 5%
  • Assist OCEFT staff with special projects as necessary. 3%
  • Maintains the OCEFT telephone directory, updating and distribution with corrections once per quarter. Coordinates information and changes with field staff. 5%
  • Creates and maintains a spreadsheet in Excel of all Reimbursable Work Authorizations (RWAs) processed through RMS-West in any given fiscal year. Updates data with actual costs and closeout information. 2%
